Microneedling is performed with a small handheld device with tiny needles which is gently moved over the skin’s surface. The needles penetrate below the surface to a specific depth with ease and precision creating microchannels. This process triggers the body’s natural response and begins the healing process by creating collagen to fill in the microchannels.
Microneedling can achieve excellent results on its own but to truly obtain optimum results, PRP (platelet rich plasma) is often combined with it. During this process, PRP is taken from your own blood to be used.
